How do the transaction charges on GiveMeTickets.co.uk work?

When you download your guestlist, we charge a commission of £0.50 per ticket that you have sold.

The Booking Fee is an optional fee you can pass on to your customers to offset this commission.

When a customer purchases tickets from you, a percentage of the sales revenue (up to 3.4%) is kept by Paypal as a charge for their services.

The Internet Transaction Charge (%) is an optional fee you can pass on to your customers to offset Paypal's charges.
When a customer purchases tickets from you, a single fee (up to 20p and in addition to their percentage charge) is kept by Paypal as a charge for their services.

The Internet Transaction Charge (Per Transaction) is an optional fee you can pass on to your customers to offset Paypal's charges.

Our transaction charges work in a way similar to other e-Ticketing providers, with the key difference being that the revenue from tickets is paid directly to you before an event takes place, instead of being retained by the e-Ticketing provider until after the event.

How do the security codes on the guestlist work?

When a customer places an order, each order is associated with a 3 character security code containing any character from A-Z and any number from 1-0. On completion of a successful order, this security code is emailed to the customer,

When you print the guestlist for your event, the customer name is taken from their user account along with the associated security code.

On the day or night of your event, each order on the guestlist should be checked off against the user's name and security code.

Although a 3 character security code may not seem particularly secure, it's actually more secure than the incremental ticket numbering systems used by many e-Ticketing providers. The three character code allows for over 45,000 different possible security codes per customer on your guestlist.

How do I sell tickets using GiveMeTickets.co.uk?

Selling tickets for an event on GiveMeTickets.co.uk is as simple as following these steps:

Register for a free promoter account in the 'Promoter' section of the website

Visit the 'Add New Event' page and fill in event specifics including start and end date and time, any transaction charges you wish to add to customer orders and venue information.

Your event will then be saved as a 'draft' event where you can edit the event details as well as adding the available tickets, as well as images or flyers to enhance your event listing.

When you are happy with your event, you can set it as 'active', so that it will appear in the main website event listings and be available to customers.

Before the event takes place (either when you set the event status to 'closed', when your tickets have sold out, or when tickets are no longer available) you can make payment of 50p per ticket to GiveMeTickets.co.uk

On completion of payment for the event, your guestlist will be available to download.

On the day or night of your event, simply check off your customers and their security codes (which will have also been emailed to them) against your guestlist.

If you need any parts of this process clarifying, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us.
